What Is the Best Snooker Game on Android in 2025?

Best Android Snooker Games

Originating from India in the late 1800s, Snooker is a cue sport with a mixture of strategy and skill. Like pool, there are a number of snooker games on the Google Play store, so let’s go through the most popular to see which offers you the most accurate rendition.

Real Snooker 3D

Developer: EivaaGames

Real Snooker 3D is polished, visually pleasing, and easy to play. It has a variety of modes including single player vs bots, pass-and-play multiplayer, and a practice mode. At the time of this review there is no online multiplayer, but there is a leaderboard where players are ranked by the number of frames won.

While it looks nice and is enjoyable to play, snooker purists will be let down. Unfortunately the physics are way off the mark, particularly when it comes to spin/ side. For example, if you play the ball against the cushion with spin, it doesn’t calculate the side at all, sending the ball back in the direction it came from. Players looking to recreate a Mark Williams style break off will have no luck here. The adverts are also a pain, with frequent full screen and un-skippable adverts between frames.

Compared to more realistic snooker simulations, Real Snooker 3D does have some merit for its beginner-friendliness, but I wouldn’t recommend it to serious Snooker fans.

Pro Snooker 2025

Developer: iWare Designs Ltd.

Pro Snooker 2025 is feature rich, with a range of single player and online multiplayer modes to keep you hooked for hours. This is a serious snooker simulation with excellent physics, presentation, and graphics. In truth, the UI is not as immediately intuitive as other mobile titles, but after a short while you will get the hang of it.

PS 2025 is very accurate to the game of snooker, especially from the players perspective. Side, bounces, cannons etc.. all feel close to the real game. There are a number of ways to modify the game, such as adjusting how much guide assistance you need, or the type of cushion bounce there is.

I have to knock points off for the bots, as they don’t really attempt to play snooker as it should be played. Instead they just pot balls at increasing levels of accuracy, based on the bot you choose (from amateur to legendary). All difficulties of bots make exploitable mistakes, such as not changing their strategy when snookered, which can make tense games lose their enjoyment a bit. Despite this, the bots at the higher levels will still provide a challenge, and they are somewhat adept at putting you in snookers when they need to.

Once again the invasive adverts are also an issue, and I even encountered some display issues with them where the skip button wasn’t visible. PS 2025 also has a rather unique monetization method by offering auto cue chalking. Without paying for this you will need to remember to regularly chalk your cue or you will eventually miscue. However, I don’t begrudge this monetization method too much as it seems more like a way of supporting the game rather than anything close to P2W.

Snooker Stars – 3D Online Sport

Developer: Giraffe Games Limited

With over 10 million downloads, Snooker Stars is the most popular snooker game on android, but is it deserving of this popularity? As far as presentation and polish goes, I would put Snooker Stars right up there with the very best mobile games. Similarly to Real Snooker 3D, you play shots by manually pulling back the cue before releasing it. This adds a level of skill, but I prefer the precision of Pro Snooker 2025’s cueing mechanism.

When you first play SS3D you won’t immediately have access to all the game modes, such as single player games vs bots, or online multiplayer. You need to complete some challenges that teach you the basics of potting and cue ball control before you can gain access to more game modes. I would prefer to just have access to everything at the start, but the challenges are enjoyable and it’s a good way to learn.

I’m not a fan of the monetization model, which effectively locks you out of progressing to further game modes unless you pay up or wait. However, there is a welcome absence of long and unskippable adverts.

Online multiplayer does appear to be where Snooker Stars shines, thanks to skill-based matchmaking and lag free gameplay (at least when I tried). I would have liked to test out the single player bots more but unfortunately the progression system made this tiresome. Despite these negatives, I will continue to play Snooker Stars 3D and for many players this may be the pick of the bunch.

Snooker Blitz

Developer: Cherry Pop Games

Snooker Blitz is unique in that it is presented in portrait mode. This may seem like a sensible choice when you consider that a snooker table is longer than it is wide, but in reality it feels squished and shots become more difficult to judge. This is further exacerbated by the lack of camera options, and the bulky UI taking up a considerable portion of the screen.

To give Snooker Blitz its merit, it has decent physics, and they’ve made a nice effort with the off-table décor. It also features a similar cue mechanism to Snooker Stars, requiring you to manually pull back and release the cue for each shot. Unfortunately the game has a bit of a clunky and outdated feel, and I think further work is required to bring it up to the modern standard of Android snooker games.

If the portrait view sounds interesting to you then I’d recommend giving it a try, but I do believe there are far better snooker games available.

What Are the Best Android Snooker Games?

Fortunately for snooker fans, there are some seriously high-quality snooker games available on Android. If you’re looking for an accurate rendition of the sport, with a range of customization options and a huge number of playing modes, I highly recommend Pro Snooker 2025. However, in my opinion the best online multiplayer experience, with the most amount of polish, is delivered by Snooker Stars.
